Library News

From the Librarian

The face of the library, as presented to students looking for books, has changed somewhat over the last couple of years. Gradually more and more books are being presented as sets in boxes that allow students to skim through front covers instead of peering sideways at titles written along the book spines. Thanks to Mrs Fergusson for all her work in this area.

A display spinner, new from the end of last year, is also popular with the students who are finding it easier to peruse then choosing for their borrowing.

When students borrow, we ask that they don't borrow two books from the same series. This allows for spread of books from popular series throughout the classes, and more importantly, I feel, encourages children to diversify in their reading.
