Home stretch . .

It’s been a busy, happy 8 weeks of Term 1. The Swimming Carnival was a great success and the Cross Country last week was likewise. Then came the exciting Secondary Sports Day. Special thanks to Mr Ian Price and Mr Jason Schulz for their leadership and planning of these outstanding events. Congratulations to all competitors and leaders of the four houses. Participation was excellent in all events and Bremer (the Green Team) came through with the shield in both Secondary athletics and swimming.

Primary and ELC Sports Day is always a highlight of the calendar and this year promises to keep with tradition. Parents and grandparents are most welcome to share in the excitement of this special event on Friday 5 April 2019 on the School Oval.

On Monday 1 April, our Music/Drama students under the direction of Mr Ian Colley, will be performing the musical, “Matilda”, in the theatre at our Tyndale Christian School at Salisbury East. This will be a wonderful dress-rehearsal for their performances in our Auditorium on the evenings of Tuesday 2 April through to Thursday 4 April at 7:00pm. It will be a brilliant show.

This year, Easter and ANZAC fall during the Term 1 holidays. We are therefore commemorating these two key events in our annual calendar at special assemblies on Wednesday April 10. The Secondary service will be conducted in the Auditorium at 9:00am, with the support of the Salvation Army band that blessed us with their music last year. At 2:25pm the Primary and ELC assembly will also have an Easter/ANZAC theme. Parents and grandparents are welcome to both the morning and/or afternoon assemblies. We are looking forward to sharing in the deeply meaningful aspects of these services.

It was lovely to see Mr & Mrs Lewis drop by the school this week to introduce us to their beautiful little girl Indiana Mae.

We’re all looking forward to our traditional Family Fun Day to complete the Term, on Friday 12 April. It’s always a cheerful, enthusiastic time of fun and vitality – a good way to launch into holidays.

Blessings,

Nigel Croser
