Congratulations Basketballers

Well done to our girls who competed in last week’s Division Basketball competition against Grammar and Alfredton.  It was a tough competition, and whilst we didn’t come away with a win, the girls played hard and again represented our school with great pride and effort.  A big thank you to Brooke Reynolds and Jess Germain for looking after the team and to all the spectators who were able to come along and support them.

2019 Sports Day

Orienteering Program

This Thursday is the last session of our lunchtime Orienteering Program.  Any student from Grade 3-6 is welcome to attend.

Lunchtime Lawn Bowls

Lunchtime bowls will be held on Wednesday lunchtimes until the end of term.  All students are welcome.  Please meet Ms Morris in the gym at the start of lunchtime and we’ll walk across to the Lawn Bowls Club together.

Blast Cricket

Thank you to everyone who signed up for the Blast Cricket next term.  We were inundated with students wanting to come and I’m pleased to announce that we are taking all those who signed up.  Teams can be viewed here.  Whilst we’ve tried to keep numbers in each team to eight (only eight players can take the field each game) some teams will have more players meaning rotations will need to happen.  It will be up to the coaches discretion on this.

Permission forms will be coming home this week.  Can you please ensure these and payments are made to the office before the end of term.

Due to the volume of students attending, we are looking for as many adult coaches as possible.  If you are able to assist, please let me know.  Grade 3+4 competition is participation only and no scoring is required.  Grade 5+6 will be competition based (scoring done) but we are hoping there will be officials provided for this.  You main role will be to organise and supervise the team, ensuring they are at their games on time, behaving appropriately and supervising during non-competition time.  Coach’s names will be listed beside the team on the link above.
