Solomon

Term 1 

An exciting and busy Term 1 came to an end for Solomon with many students getting involved in various, extra-curricular activities the school has to offer.

 

Firstly, a big congratulations to Sebastian Luppino who was elected Solomon House Captain by his peers. Rami Saab and Nathan Bazzani were elected as Vice- Captains. This was fantastic achievement. Along with this, Mitchell Tsiros and John Green were elected House Athletics captains and Kai Uehara the swimming captain.

 

Solomon house had achieved some success in the recent senior swimming & athletics carnivals. Daniel Cefala, Josh Miller, Jackson Turner & Nick Grech were all acknowledge as top three runners in their year levels. While Alec Hende, George Grey & Mitchell Tsiros were all acknowledge as top three swimmers in their year levels.

 

The house was able to win the senior athletics trophy! A fantastic triumph who the senior house who were exemplary on the day. It was credit to the commitment to all students in the house.

 

In other events, the house finished 2nd overall in senior swimming and 3rd in public speaking which was lead by Rami Saab and Elijah Barret. Elijah was in particular creative with his witty, ‘ABC’s of political correctness’.

 

A couple of students have excelled outside the college. Recently, Ryan Byrnes has been named Captain of the Under 18 Sandringham Dragons TAC Cup squad. Josh Heather has been completing at the National Cycling Championships and Rimo Khadir will be heading the AIS for his martial arts.

We congratulate and wish these boys all the best into the future.
