PFA Report

March News
The Parents and Friends Association (PFA) is a committee made up of parents and teachers.
Our main aim is to raise money for our children’s school. Funds raised through the PFA directly benefit our children’s education through the purchase of educational resources, play equipment and improving the school grounds.
The PFA will be holding their next Meeting on Thursday 17th March at 7.00pm in the school staff room.
All parents, guardians, grandparents and friends are welcome to attend our meetings and join the PFA.
If you cannot attend meetings, yet would like to participate in our fundraising activities, we would love to hear from you. The office staff can put you in contact with a member of the committee.
School Disco
We are pleased to announce that the School Disco will return in 2016, with the fantastic Footsteps running both the Junior and Senior Disco.
The Disco will be held tomorrow night, on Friday 18th March. We would love some extra helpers for this event. Please contact the school office & leave your contact details if you are able to help
Fresh Fruit
Fresh Fruit was a huge success last year, and will be continuing again this year with the support of Woolworths Marriott Waters and the Cranbourne Homemaker Centre Fruit Shop.
Woolworths & the Fruit Shop have kindly agreed to donate fresh fruit every Thursday for the children to share in their classroom. We are seeking parent helpers to cut up fruit.
If you can help out every now and then, feel free to drop in to the staff room at 9.00 on a Thursday morning. We would appreciate your assistance.
Second Hand Uniform Stall
The Second Hand Uniform Stall will be running regularly, on the 1st Tuesday of every month.
The next stall will be held on Tuesday 12st April from 8.30-9.00am and in the afternoon from 3.00-4.00 in the school gym.
If anyone has any uniforms they would like to donate to the school, please hand them to the office. All clothes must be clean, without holes and able to be worn.
The Good Guys Cranbourne Cash Program
Lyndhurst Primary School is a part of The Good Guys Cranbourne Cash Program. If you purchase an item at The Good Guys Cranbourne store, advise the salesperson that you would like ‘Cranbourne Cash’ to be allocated to Lyndhurst Primary School.
$1 from every $25 spent goes back to the school. Mention this to friends and family, as the more people who allocate the ‘cash’ to the school when they make a purchase, the more funds we raise.
Stuck on You Labels
Stuck on You helps to avoid lost property by creating amazing labels and tags for kids of all ages. They offer Iron on Clothing Labels that can be personalised, as well as many other labels.
The school is able to earn rewards from Stuck on You; all you need to do is enter the code LYNDHURSTPSVIC as the fundraising code when you order. Go to www.stuckonyou.com.au for more details.
We look forward to your support in 2016,
PFA (Parents and Friends Association)
