Melbourne Storm- Free Tickets

Earlier this term, we were lucky enough to have Mitch Cook from the NRL and Melbourne Storm visit our school and deliver a presentation on health and wellbeing to students from grades 3-6. With him came Storm players Matt White and Jake Turpin. Students enjoyed an interactive presentation that provided information on the importance of relationships, sleep, hydration and participation in sport, with some students even receiving prizes. After the presentation students were able to ask the Storm players some questions about their careers and passion for health and wellbeing.

The Melbourne Storm would now like to offer students from our school with free tickets for selected games this season. A message from Mitch Cook:

On behalf of Melbourne Storm, thank you for having us at your school for the wellbeing presentation. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.  As a special thank you, we would like to offer you a FREE ticket to come and support us at AAMI Park this season! Follow this link to redeem your ticket. Can’t wait to see you there, Mitch Cook – NRL Development.

National Ride2School Day

Lyndhurst Primary School took part in National Ride2School Day on Friday 4th March with a huge number of students and parents leaving the car at home and choosing to ride to school for the day. It was the schools most successful Ride2School Day ever, with nearly 200 students taking part.

Every student that rode to school for the day received a raffle ticket and went into the draw for prizes that were drawn out at assembly. Congratulations to our winners! Students were also able to receive a yummy and healthy breakfast provided by the Parents and Friends Association by making a gold coin donation.

We would like to thank our supporters; Woolworths Marriott Waters, Harris Scarf Cranbourne Park, Casey Cycles on High Street Cranbourne and Best Friends Pet Store Cranbourne Homemaker Centre for supporting our school by donating prizes for the raffle.

Thanks also to the Grade 5/6 students that helped ensure everyone was able to find a place to put their bike away in what was a packed shed!
