Library Anzac Display

Anzac Day

Parents and students are invited to come and look at the Library’s ANZAC display during April.  We have been loaned genuine WW I artifacts which you will find very interesting.  We have also displayed many new books about the ANZAC Tradition.

If you are interested in more information about WW I, visit slv.vic.gov.au/victorian-anzacs This website is extremely helpful for assignments about WW I. There you can click through heaps of old newspapers which tell Victoria’s war stories and you can download Goulburn-Murray & Shepparton newspapers to find our local stories.  

Over 200 World War I era Victorian community newspapers are available online via the National Library of Australia’s Trove portal.  So, if you want to look further afield, you can google Trove which is the database administered by the National Library of Australia.
