The contract was ratified in December.
Look for more surveys in the New Year as we begin to think about bargaining for 2019-2020. The entire contract is available to be opened, so let us know what you think we ought to be looking at. Bargaining will begin again in March. If you are interested in joining the bargaining team, please let Dominic or Bob know.
We have asked the district benefits committee to bring forward information about dental benefits to the January benefits meeting. We will compare and examine plans at the January meeting.
We will be sending out a survey about curriculum in January. While curriculum is not bargainable, we believe that the district should be asking teachers what their curriculum needs and priorities are. So far we have seen no such survey from the district. We will present the results of our survey to the district.
