CCTV In Use at Both Campuses

Effective this year, we now have CCTV cameras operating in all areas of our College, at both campuses and on our buses.

We believe the safety of our students, staff, parents and facilities is of utmost importance and feel the addition of cameras at Officer (and NWS since prior to 2019) will be beneficial.

If you would like to read the policy, please go to the website https://heritagecollege.vic.edu.au/our-community/publications-policies/policies/

Heritage College Uniform News

For those that have been with Heritage College for some time, you may have noticed a gradual change from the old logo (pictured right) to the new (pictured left). While there have been some small colour and font adjustments, the crest and its elements remain unchanged: the open Bible, the Dove representing the Holy Spirit, the wreath that represents the prize of achievement, the crown atop reminding us that God is sovereign and the ribbon with the motto “In Him We Live”.

Over the course of 2020, some uniform elements will be updated to include the updated Heritage College logo. You may have seen the front gates at Narre Warren South campus now reflect these changes. Eventually, all items of the uniform range will also be changed over to reflect the updated logo.  We estimate this process will be completed by Term 4, 2021. For now, there are a few things changing in Term 1.

Spray Jackets (will be retired from Uniform Line end Term 1, 2020)

As of the end of Term 1, 2020, the old Spray Jacket will be retired from the official Heritage College uniform line.

A term’s grace period applies for wearing the old Spray Jackets. Old Spray Jackets can be returned to reception any time before the end of Term 1, 2020 - look out for the giant purple bins! All jackets returned will be recycled via a local retailer who specialises in garment sustainability.

Summer Uniform: New shirt for boys released

An updated shirt is available for purchase via the official uniform supplier, Noone Imagewear. The difference between the old and the new is that the new shirt contains an embroidered logo and may be worn untucked.

Questions on school uniform can be directed to your child’s classroom teacher and your deputy principal.

Scholastic Book Club

Welcome back to another year full of fantastic books available through the Scholastic Book Club.  This is something we have previously offered across both of our primary campuses and are now also extending to our ELC at Officer.

Twice a term during the school year, your child will receive a Club catalogue with a different selection of books offered across a variety of age groups.

With a variety of different books both fiction and non-fiction, there is something for everything.  Some books are as low as $2 so keep an eye out for those.

It is easy to order. The Book Club LOOP platform for parents allows you to pay by credit card. Your child’s order is submitted directly to school safe and sound and the books will be delivered to class. You can place your child’s order at scholastic.com.au/LOOP or using the LOOP app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.  Cash payments can also be, please refer to the back page of the scholastic issue.

Each order helps earn reward points that our libraries are able to use to grow and add to our libraries.  We truly appreciate the support each year, however this no obligation to order.

Issue 1 for 2020 should have made its way home.  Alternatively, you will find below a link to view the PDF version online.
