Term 4

Grade 5/6 Interschool Sport – Term 1, 2023

 

As part of the 2023 PE and Sports program in Term 1, Mullum Primary children in Grade 5 & 6 will be involved in Interschool Sports matches against other local Primary schools on Friday 24th February, 2023.  The matches will follow a round robin format where students will play each school, several times on the one day.  Teams for this event are being compiled this week and the sports are: Basketball, Hot Shots Tennis, Kanga 8’s Cricket, Volleybounce, Softcrosse. More information will be emailed home to families at the start of the 2023 school year.

 

We need parent helpers!

If you would like to manage, coach or umpire a team then please email Mrs Fiona Pumpa through Compass over the Christmas break. There is the option of being with the team on Friday 24th February for the round robin 9.30am to 2.30pm, and/or coaching the team Friday mornings 9am to 10.30am leading up to the event.  Please, let Fiona Pumpa know how you are able to assist.  Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!

District Swimming Carnival 2023

I have had parents enquiring about the District Swimming Carnival advertised in our last newsletter.  This is a carnival for talented 9 to 13 year old swimmers who meet qualifying times.  The carnival is on Monday 27th February, 2023 at the Tintern Grammar pool, 1.50pm to 3.30pm.

 

If you are interested, please have someone time you swimming 50m of one, two or all of the following strokes – 

  • 50m freestyle
  • 50m backstroke
  • 50m butterfly 50m
  • breaststroke

Email your times to Mrs Pumpa over the Christmas break and she will let you know if you qualify.

Parents must transport and supervise their children for this event. 

More information will be emailed to interested and/or successful swimmers early in 2023.
