While the Grade 6s were surfing, the Grade 5s had a stand alone cultural lesson on Murano.
Murano is a small island next to Venice which is famous for its glass products. The students watched a video showing the island and some glass blowing in action. Their follow up activity was to create designs of glass vases and use tissue paper to create a transparent effect.
