Swimming Carnival

TLSC Annual Swimming Carnival 2023 Wrap!

On Monday 27th February Taylors Lakes Secondary College celebrated one of the most exciting events of the year, the Annual Swimming Carnival. It was a fun-filled day that brought together students, teachers, and staff for a day of healthy competition, good food, and lots of laughter.

The Swimming Carnival had a range of events that showcased the swimming skills of our students. Students had the opportunity to try all the swimming strokes, inflatable races and noodle races. It was amazing to see the level of talent and dedication shown by our students, and it was clear that they had put in a lot of effort in their preparations.

The festivities were also a big hit among the attendees. There were waterslides, inflatable twister, popcorn, fairy floss, BBQ and drinks, and the DJ played the best tunes. Students all wore their best costumes and house colours, and the pool grounds were filled with colour and energy.

The spirit of competition was strong, and it was inspiring to see the students cheering for each other and displaying excellent sportsmanship. It was clear that they were all determined to do their best and represent their houses with pride. Our House victors today were the students and staff of Apollo House with a total of 780 points. Chichester finished second with 509 points, followed by Parmelia at 341 points and Lionheart finishing in fourth with 117 points.

The event was a testament to the incredible community spirit that exists at our school. It was a great opportunity for the students to come together and celebrate their achievements and have fun while doing so.

I would like to thank all the staff, volunteers, and students who made the Swimming Carnival a huge success. It was a day that will be remembered for a long time, and it wouldn't have been possible without everyone's contribution.

We are already looking forward to the next whole school event, the Annual Athletics Carnival in Term 2.
