Diocesan Basketball Trials

Last Friday selections for the Armidale Diocesan Basketball Representative Team were held at Tamworth Sports Dome. Selections were open to current Year 5 and 4 students who have a proficient skill level in basketball. Ricky Hird represented our school at the trials and played particularly well, making the possible and probables selection cut. Unfortunately he just missed out on selection this year but we are very proud of his effort and dedication to his sport. Well done Ricky. 

Term 4 Swimming - Weeks 7-10

Swimming 

The focus of these sessions for our infants students is water confidence. Students will develop skills in propelling through the water in a streamlined position, using arm action and continuous kicking. For our primary students and more confident swimmers our sessions will give students opportunities to perform a range of swimming and water rescue skills, eg freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, entry and exit in deep water, deep dive and rope rescue.

Equipment Needed: Please ensure your child has the following items in a separate bag for each swimming session:

• swimmers and rash shirt (children will not be able to swim without a rash shirt).
• towel
• thongs or slides
• sunscreen (only if a particular brand is needed. The school has sunscreen available).
• goggles
