WELCOME TO 2023 SCHOOL YEAR

What a fantastic start to the year we've had.  Our new foundation students are settling in well and it is lovely to see so many happy faces.  We welcome all our new families.  We look forward to working with you all during your time with us.  

 

There is lots to look forward to this term, starting with our swimming carnival on Friday for the Grade 3 to 6 children.   The school picnic, an incursion, The first P & F meeting for the year, District & Division swimming, senior swimming program, Ash Wednesday Mass, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, middle & senior Athletics, NAPLAN and school photos are all scheduled for Term 1, with a student free day thrown in.

2023 SCHOOL FEES

School fee statements will be sent home in week 2 or 3 of February.   Please reach out by contacting the office to seek assistance if you are having difficulty paying or need to arrange a payment plan.

HEALTH CARE CARD HOLDERS

If you (the parent) hold a current HCC, please contact the office and we can assist you in obtaining a subsidy off your school fees.

PICNIC

This is an annual event for St Laurence's families that is held at the beginning of each year (when COVID does not get involved).  It is an opportunity to picnic together with families from our school.  Join us in the environmental area. Bring some take-away/picnic, blanket, chairs etc 5.00 - 7.00pm. Please note that this is a dry event - NO alcohol please.

The P & F are having their first meeting for the year on Monday 13th February at the RSL in Leongatha at 6pm. We will be briefly sorting out a rough calendar of events for the year.

All are welcome to come, meet some other parents and enjoy a night out.

PAM & SIMON EVERYWHERE - PARENT PORTALS

All families should have their PAM accounts up and running at this stage.  There are several permission forms that require submitting.  

 

If you are having issues, please contact the office and we can assist you. 

 

Please note that it is an expectation that ALL families utilise SimonEverywhere to have access to any important notifications.

 

Once you receive the email asking you to create new credentials for PAM account, this will be as simple as:

  • clicking on the link provided in the email
  • following the prompts to create a new password for your new account.
  • opening the SIMON Everywhere app and log out of your old account
  • navigating to the “Tools” menu in SIMON Everywhere and then “Add School”
  • finding your school on the list and clicking on the “Login” button for Parent Access
  • using your new credentials to log into your new PAM account via SIMON Everywhere

If you have not received your email, please contact the office and we can resend it to you. Check your spam and junk folders in case your email has landed in one of those folders in your email.

PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS

Parent Teacher Interviews will be held after school hours on Tuesday 21st Feb and Wednesday 22nd Feb.  Bookings for P T Interviews will be via PAM once the time slots have been released.  More information will go out next week.
