Principal's Message

                                                       Mrs Josie Crisara

Welcome Back to Term 3

It was with excitement that students returned to school for a new term of learning.  It is a busy term with excursions, sport competitions, Parents and Friends Association activities, Galway Cultural activities (Theatre Workshop, Debating, Art Workshop) as well as the College Musical, 'Monty Python's Spamalot'.

New Staff

We welcome Ms Jade Leonard to the staff and welcome back Mrs Christine Hutchinson. They will be teaching classroom music.

Indonesia Trip

A number of students and staff attended the Indonesian tour as part of their studies of Indonesian language and culture during the term break. By all accounts they had a wonderful time with many stories to share. It is not until you immerse yourself in another culture that you get a true appreciation of our diversity as a human race. Students were able to engage in practising their language skills, meet students from an Indonesian school to share some experiences and visit a number of cultural sites. Thank you to Mr Simon Adams for organising the tour.

VCE/VCAL Information Evenings

The VCE and VCAL Information nights were held in the past two weeks and it was great to see the large parent and student attendances. It is important that families engage with these events so that everyone is fully informed of the opportunities and pathways available to students as they begin their careers interviews and preparation for subject selection.

Capital Works

During the school holidays, the dam behind the Technology Centre was filled in and the area levelled. Students have been very interested in the works being completed. No more lost balls…for those wondering where the balls collected over many years are - they have gone to a better place.
