From the Senior School Sports Master

Following the news that the ISA Winter season has officially concluded could I ask you all to turn your thoughts to the Summer Season.

The ISA are currently presenting various options for consideration with regards to the structure of the Summer Season.  We are confident that there will be summer sport at some stage with National Governing Bodies encouraging all levels to plan towards an October-November start.

To that end could I ask that you register your sons for Summer teams at your earliest opportunity so that the College can firstly enter teams for the relevant competitions and then look at resourcing for the upcoming Summer Season.

At this point we need your registration as an Expression of Interest.  Registration can be made through the links that are published in each Sport Section Woodchatta.

Basketball Registration 2021

The ISA are currently planning the Summer Season sport for 2021-2022.  At this stage they are presenting various option to accommodate ongoing and hopefully easing restrictions.

We are hoping that in Term 4 St Pius X will be able to run basketball matches at Oxford Falls. In the hope that sport is allowed to be played we need to start organising teams. We are endeavouring to include all students who wish to play basketball in a team. PLEASE REGISTER USING THE LINK BELOW:

In the unlikely event that there is no ISA competition, we plan to run an internal house competition on Saturdays in Term 4 if COVID restrictions allow.

Please DO NOT register if you cannot commit to the full season. If you register to play basketball you are expected to attend all training sessions and games.

CSDA Debating

There is still no information on how the Quarterfinal events (our Year 9, 11 and 12 teams) will unfold this year.  As soon as information is forwarded to me it will be published in Woodchatta.
