Year 11 Assessment Block

Year 11 will finalise their assessments during an Assessment block commencing Monday 6 September and concluding Thursday 16 September.

No scheduled Year 11 classes will be conducted during this two-week period.

Teachers will be available to assist students.

Students will undertake an array of hand in and online tests and will be responsible for managing their exam preparation and completion of assessments.

Student achievement in these assessments will be used to finalise their grade determinations for Year 11 and therefore ensuring they have fulfilled the course completion requirements for entry into Year 12.

Online assessments will incorporate various measures to reduce the need or possibility for students to seek unfair advantage.

Students and parents are reminded that these assessments, do not carry the same high-stake pressure as Year 12. All learning in Year 11 is important for providing a solid foundation for Year 12.

It is hoped that students enter these assessments with an open mind, a sense of pride and honour and most importantly,  acceptance of where they are with their learning.

Teachers will provide students with details on how to access and undertake these online assessments.

The final Year 11 Report will be issued at the end of Week 3 in Term 4.

We wish our Year 11 Students well as they embark on their final assessments for Year 11.

Mr Alex Damo - Assistant Principal, Teaching and Learning

Congratulations to these boys and to the whole year group who have shown an engagement in their History studies in 2021.
