Rowing

In Terms Two and Three, rowing has been in full swing. An enthusiastic group of 32 students spanning across Years Eight, Nine, Ten and Eleven, have been braving the chilly weather to master the rowing technique.

In Year Eight and Nine we have focussed on sculling in single sculls and quads. In Years Ten and Eleven they have began sweep rowing in an eight. All students have demonstrated incredible growth and focus. They have created a welcoming team environment who encourage each other in the often challenging yet picturesque conditions. Many thanks must go to Dr Paul Mitrovski who has been running the gym sessions with rowing specific exercises, and Ingrid Fuhrmann who has been on the water coaching.

Students are looking forward to testing their skills against each other in Term Four on 20 November when we host a GSG regatta on the Kalgan River.
