Cinefest

Last week Henry, Edward, Mia and Josh travelled to Busselton to walk down their very own red carpet for the Grand Finale where their films were showcased as part of the Full Festival Program, and viewed by an extensive range of film industry professionals.

Henry, Mia and Josh got into this competition as it was one of our tasks in Year Eleven Media. Throughout ATAR and General Media we look at a collection of entertainment and art films as well as documentaries, podcasts, and news sources. We learn about film as a medium for visual storytelling. By analysing the work of others we learn about the components of film to be able to make our own.

I’m pleased to announce that Josh Clark was awarded Runner-up for his film “One Man’s Trash”. Congratulations Josh!

Josh explains his passion for film making like this:

I have always had a love for filmmaking and producing stories that can be shown on a big screen in front of an audience. Competitions such as the one held through Cinefest give me an opportunity to share my way of storytelling. This film was particularly inspired by the ocean and attempts to show the beauty of the ocean through this year’s theme; ‘Treasure’ - Josh Clark
