Albany’s Big Sleepout

On Saturday, Chloe Trend and Elijah Wesley supported the Albany Big Sleepout held at the Albany Agricultural Society Pavilion.  They coordinated GSG music students to provide some soothing music to the crowd and GSG raised $1,400 for homelessness in our community with the event raising just over $30,000.  Funds will be distributed to the Homelessness Fund to assist those that are homeless, disadvantaged or in crisis.  Well done Chloe and Elijah and all those who contributed.

Radioactive Concert

Last Friday I attended the Radioactive Concert.  The concert was a wonderful example of the talent and dedication of GSG students and our music teachers.  The School received the following compliment from a teacher from ASHS:

“A quick note to congratulate Joe Fowler and your wonderful Year 11 and 12 music students for their excellent performance at the Radioactive concert on Friday evening. I would also like to commend GSG on a wonderful student of yours named Chloe. At the conclusion of the evening when all the rest of the students were on stage getting their applause, Chloe chose to stay behind in the Kalyenup Studio and pack up, so  everyone could get home in a timely manner. You should be very proud that your school has produced someone with such great civic values”.
