Whitehorse Council Engagement with Children Survey
Council is undertaking engagement with children and young people to inform the development of the of the City of Whitehorse’s Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan (MPHWP) 2021-2025.
The MPHWP 2021-2025, Council Plan 2021-2025, and other strategic plans such as the Financial Plan and Asset Plan will together align to deliver on the aspirations of the community as set out in the Whitehorse Community Vision 2040. Council want to include the thoughts, hopes and goals of all members of our community and this survey is a great way for children and young people to have their say!
The survey only takes about 5 minutes to complete. It closes on September 8, 2021.

Hi St James Families!
DATES to REMEMBER
Here we are bunkering down for yet another week. We hope everyone is coping ok with all the various challenges that families are facing at this time.
Whilst the immediate future remains a little uncertain, we are here planning with a team of volunteers as much as we can to make things as normal as we can for our kids and community. We are getting used to being flexible so are determined to try for what we can!
GREAT NEWS – 2020/2021 Fundraising Goal Achieved!
Community Centre New Heating and Cooling to be installed!
For those who were part of the St James Community at the beginning of last year, you may remember we announced our 2020 Fundraising Goal just before our world went a little crazy!! Our goal was to raise enough funds to replace the heating and cooling system in the community centre which has struggled for some time now to heat and cool an area of that size. Obviously last year was a bit of a fizzer as far as raising funds goes and this year has been not that much better however last week we met with school leadership (via google meets!) and were happy to hear that our combined funds from 2020 and 2021 along with surplus from the school building funds is enough to fund this project! All going well it is planned that this will be installed in the September school holidays. This is a great result and a direct result of YOUR support! A big thanks to everyone who has helped in any way in planning an event, helping at an event, organising raffles, auctions or stalls and the many who have purchased a ticket, a pie or bid at an auction. Every little bit helps and we are always very grateful!
FATHER'S DAY BREAKFAST - Cancelled for 2021
One much loved event on our calendar will sadly need to be cancelled again this year. Due to large numbers and timing preventing us from running more than two sessions along with all the cleaning requirements and food prep, restrictions will mean this will be very hard to run. We are very hopeful that this event can make a return in 2022! We do want to thank Cate Pigeault, Jen Harvey, Monika Moylan and Amy DiPierdomenico for putting their hand up to coordinate this.

FOOD DAYS
As you may have seen in the updates, we were all ready to send out order forms for our next Food Day when we were very suddenly and speedily shut down! When we are back we will do our best to get one in!
