Secondary Department News

LOWER SECONDARY

Home Learning has become more engaging for our 7/8 students. Our students are becoming more confident online learners responding to tasks, sending videos on seesaw checking in for class and also engaging in discussions through Microsoft Teams. It was great to see most of our students face to face on assembly last Friday and all of them happily curious and growing a new set of skills through exploring their new learning platform.

UPPER SECONDARY

9/10 assemblies on Friday are now in full swing! We had our first remote assembly via TEAMS last week and it was fantastic! This is a photo of everyone getting excited to watch Sharnay B’s performance!

Every morning each 9/10 class has a morning check in which gives the students an opportunity to interact and ask any questions they may have. Last week 9/10 B held an independence challenge. The idea was to get students practise very useful living skills at home such as making your own bed and cleaning up after dinner. This week’s winners were Joshua B and Shanece K!

The 9/10 students have been hard at work as always. Here are some of the activities students have completed this week for Numeracy, Literacy, PBIS and RRRR in our year level.
