Primary Department News

FOUNDATION

The students in Prep have been doing a fantastic job with their remote learning. We had our first Teams meeting as a class on Friday and everyone enjoyed catching up and seeing each other's faces, we look forward to more video chats.

In Maths we have been learning about money. We are looking at the different types, colours, shapes, and value of money. Have a look at some of our amazing work!

YEAR 1/2

This week, the 1 / 2  students have been participating in online learning by watching morning circle and ‘Every Day Counts’ videos and by completing activities on Seesaw. During numeracy sessions, the students have been learning about Australian money (coins and notes). Our students have been using Wushka to read books online. We have been enjoying our outside time in our garden or by going for a walk or riding scooters. Students have submitted their entries for a photography competition and also participated in designing a flag for Jackson School. Here is a glimpse of some of the wonderful work that 1 / 2 students have been doing!

LOWER PRIMARY

The 3/4 students are doing an amazing job during home learning, engaging in some fun offline and online activities. Thank you to all the families and carers who are supporting their child at home. It is lovely to see students trying their best on Seesaw, going outside and enjoying some exercise and participating in tasks at home to help them become more independent, such as cooking and cleaning. We want to remind families to try and login to Microsoft teams for children to catch up and see each other. Look out for morning messages on Seesaw from you teacher as to when the class will be meeting. Look after yourself and we can not wait to see you all.

UPPER PRIMARY

Over the past two weeks, the grade 5/6 students have been learning to measure capacity, write recounts, use and count money and describe what causes day and night. Check out some of their great work! Thanks again to our parents and carers for supporting our students learning at home!
