Student Wellbeing

BOOSTING RESILIENCE

Sharing yet another amazing resource from The Black Dog Institute.  We encourage parents, educators and students to browse through this ‘course’ as it offers some rather up to the minute strategies.  Doing activities together often has much more meaning for our young people and helps create meaningful memories.

MindStrength is a series of short online interactive courses aimed at increasing our students’ understanding of mental health and developing their resilience.

Strategies used in the courses include:

· mindfulness meditation

· taming your emotions

· identifying and using your strengths

· problem solving

Who is it for?

The MindStrength courses are suitable for young people, as well as their parents and carers who want to boost their resilience.

BODY KIND FAMILIES

Body Kind Families is a FREE initiative designed to boost parents’/carers’ confidence in promoting positive body image and responding to body image concerns in their teenage children. It supports families to be kind to their own body and to others’.

Body Kind Families is just one part of Butterfly’s annual awareness initiative creating body positive environments for young Australians.

Your child may already be at one of the 1,000+ schools taking part in, so why not be a Body Kind Family too?
