Year 12 Learning

Working Towards The future

The Year 12 students played a crucial role in the organisation of the Careers Expo.  The students managed the catering, planned and set up the gymnasium for the stalls and developed some of the advertising material.  They applied skills in teamwork, organisation, communication, problem solving and OHS when preparing for the event.

The Year 12 classes are participating in Work Related Skills programs each Thursday and will rotate through the programs on a term basis throughout the year.

SAP – The students run the school canteen each Tuesday and Thursday, working as a team to prepare the lunch orders for the entire school, considering food handling standards and OHS requirements.  This gives students a taste of the Hospitality industry.

SNK –Students run a weekly BBQ at Bunnings, South Morang.  Working in a fast-paced environment, students develop customer service, money-handling, food preparation and safety skills.  Feel free to come down any Thursday to buy a sausage and see the crew in action.

SSS – This class is running a small business, providing coffee and a sweet treat to customers (the Concord staff) each week.  This program is self-funded and students gain experience in marketing, customer service, teamwork and food preparation.
