Local Aboriginal Network Art Competition

Last week we finally had an opportunity for our winners of the LAN (Local Aboriginal Network) Art Competition 2018, to see their framed artwork on the walls of the Kyabram Hospital. KyHealth invited the students, Mr Stone and Mrs Baker to come to a morning tea and see where their paintings are hanging. Congratulations again to Ariel B, River D and Damien B.

The Great Book Swap

The Great Book Swap has been on at lunchtime this week from Wednesday 4th September, which was Indigenous Literacy Day, until today, Friday 5th September. Students and staff have donated books for sale. Over three lunchtimes people could then bring a gold coin donation to take a book home. We are hoping to raise $200 for the ILF (Indigenous Literacy Foundation) to use to buy books for Indigenous students and to publish works in Aboriginal languages. You can find our fundraising page at https://go.greatbookswap.org.au/EventDetail/7011J000000xARi/St-Augustine's-College-Great-Book-Swap if you would like to contribute.
