Athletics Carnival

Athletics day was fantastic!  The day ran smoothly and all students are to be congratulated for their participation and enthusiasm. It was wonderful to see our Year  5/6 students step up and lead the day, taking care of the younger students and helping with organisation and encouraging everyone to do their best.

Many thanks to Mrs Benita Spence for her organisation of the day and to Mr Geoff Birnie for his contributions with line marking the oval and setting up events.  Our Loch staff team were  again wonderful supporting students and each other and ensuring the day was successful.  Each year our athletics event is made possible by many parents being willing to come along and help with running events. Again this year we had a great group of parents helping with timing, measuring and giving technical advice. Many thanks to all who assisted.

Our Parents & Friends Association did a marvellous job organising lunches and snacks.  Many thanks to all of the helpers in the kitchen working hard in the heat!  Everyone's bellies were grateful for the yummy foods.

The smiles on our kids faces said it all.  A great day for everyone!
