TerraCycle used writing instruments Recycling Program

The St Gregory’s College Community has joined up to the "TerraCycle used writing instruments recycling program” .

For every 1kg of accepted items we collect, our Community will receive $1 in donation points which will go into our Marist Solidarity Fund.

Please see the list of accepted waste below. Have a look around your home and office (especially if you work in an office environment) and send your waste into the College.  There will be collection points in both the Junior and Senior school. This will be an ongoing initiative and your support will be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE FROM ST MARY MACKILLOP PARISH ON ENROLLING FOR 1st RECONCILIATION and 1st HOLY COMMUNION IN 2020

Fr David and the Parish Sacramental Team would like to thank all those families who, after collecting an enrolment package at the information sessions for 1st Reconciliation and 1st Holy Communion 2020 that were held on Wednesday 13 November, returned their enrolment envelope to one of our 5 masses this weekend (16/17 November).

Enrolment forms can also be handed in next weekend (23/24 November).

Families enrolling children for these sacraments are also reminded, as outlined at the information sessions, that they need to 'sign up' for a discipleship group via the www.schoolinterviews.com.au website and code contained in their enrolment package. This link will close at 7pm on Sunday 24th November.

More information on our 2020 sacramental process can be found on our parish website www.marymackillopparish.org.au or by emailing oranparksacraments@dow.org.au

Leadership Day

Year 5 participated in a Leadership and Team building day on Thursday 21st November. The focus of the day was on identifying leadership skills to take forward into Year 6 next year. As a group the students participated in team problem solving activities, reflection time, listened to talks by Mr MacMaster, as well as our two Junior School Leadership Team Representatives Dylan Ruiters and Bryan Handunneththi. These leaders shared some of the expectations and values expected from our Year 6 leaders in 2020.

One of the key learnings from this day is that you do not need to wear a badge to be a leader. Leaders are people who step up without letting everyone know about it.
