Teaching and Learning in the Senior School

In our Classrooms

In preparation for the Year 7 2020 Information night last week, I decided to wander around the College to catch a glimpse of what was happening in our classrooms during the most difficult teaching periods of the week; Friday Periods 5 and 6.  I figured I would see some great learning happening.  I also made an assumption that in the last lessons of the week our young men would be less settled and focused on their learning.  I should have known better; I saw our teachers engaging our learners in a variety of activities, with the boys focused and engaged.  I loved this little reminder for myself: If that’s what is happening in our classrooms at the most difficult times, then what wonderful learning must be happening when everything is just right!  My amateur photographs from that wander are not great, but hopefully they’ll give you an idea of the variety of things going on around the College during class time.
