House Swimming
On Thursday the 11th of February we had our annual House Swimming Carnival which was a fun day for all involved. The day ran smoothly with plenty of opportunities for all the students to get into the pool and cool down on such a warm day.
As we did not get to attend many sports or whole school events last year, it was great to see so many people get involved and the school community come together once again. Well done to everyone who placed and participated on the day contributing to the day’s success and your houses overall score.
The results for the day are as follows …
Best Cheers Squad – Ffrench
Overall points:
I’d like to thank all the staff and old collegians who helped with all the countless jobs ensuring the day was a success and everything ran on time. Also, thankyou to the parents who came to support and the house leaders and staff for organising students throughout the day.
Swimmers who made it to GD Swimming will be competing on Friday the 19th of February in Portland against other local high schools. More details to come!
Glenelg Division Swimming
On Friday the 19th of February, 54 swimmers qualified for the Glenelg division swimming in Portland. The day was a success, with much participation across the board and many swimmers placing in their events. Although Monivae came 2nd overall to College, our school had at least one swimmer place in the top five for every age group overall on the day which is a great effort by all.
Congratulations to our age group champions
I would like to thank all the teachers that took the time to take us all to Portland and helped out on the day. Also, congratulations and good luck to all the swimmers participating in the GWR Swimming in Horsham and also a reminder to rock up to your allocated training sessions during the next couple of weeks, starting today.
House Athletics
On Tuesday, we had our annual school athletics which was another fun day for all. The day ran smoothly with plenty of opportunities for everyone to get involved in track and field events. Well done to everyone who participated and placed on the day and thankyou to all the teachers for their hard work with the countless jobs involved in making the day a success.
Age group champions:
The overall house placings...

Good luck to all the students who will be heading to Casterton next Friday to compete in the Glenelg Division Athletics.
Monivae Uniforms
There are a number of sports uniforms that still haven’t been returned. Could all parents & students check around their homes and return any Monivae sports uniforms to the front desk. Please do not send these uniforms to the Op shops as they are the property of Monivae.
SHOUT OUT…….
Congratulations to Matilda Mason and Oliver Homer for their enormous effort at the Modern Pentathlon and MPV State Tetrathlon. Matilida competed in both events last weekend for dual titles of Modern Pentathlon Champion and MPV State Tetrathlon Champion. Oliver competed in the MPV State Tetralon Junior boys and came third overall. A fantastic effort for both of these Year 7 students.
