HOUSE SPORTS 2019

On Tuesday 18, and Wednesday 19 of December, Murrumbeena will be holding its annual House Sports Carnival.

***There is no reserve date if it is raining, so the carnival will be cancelled if it’s too wet.***

The aim of the day is for students to have fun, whilst gaining points for their houses. Students will rotate through a number of activities that will involve teamwork and co-operation.

Students are encouraged to wear a t-shirt in their house colour on the day of their carnival or something to show what colour house they are in.

TUESDAY 18 December

9:00-10:55- PE/F, PL, PT, PW, 1M, 1S, 1P

11:20-1:00- 2D, 2L, 2M, 2S, 3A, 3H, 3P

 

WEDNESDAY 19 December

9:00-10:55- 4H, 4K, 4M, 5B, 5C, 5P, 6M, 6W

 

A whole school assembly will be conducted at 11:10am Wednesday 19 December to announce the overall house winners and to present the trophy to the winning house.

Charlotte N. will be competing for Team Victoria at the national competition to be held  24 -25 November at Lakeside Stadium in Albert Park.

SCHOOL SPORT VICTORIA 2019

School Sport Victoria (SSV) actively promotes school sport for all Victorian school students, years 4 to 12, as a means of supporting schools in developing their students’ health and well being. SSV operates under the auspices of the Department of Education and Training. Membership of School Sport Victoria is open to all Victorian schools, providing the opportunities to participate in programs that extends from grassroots intra and inter school sport, to district, division, region, conference, state and national levels. Students attending schools affiliated with SSV are eligible for selection in Victorian Teams to compete in School Sport Australia National Championships.

Parents considering nominating a child for a state team must firstly consult with their school-based Sport Coordinator & regularly check the School Sport Victoria website:  www.ssv.vic.edu.au  Nominations (girls & boys) for 2018 Netball, Basketball, AFL & Soccer teams open 1/12/18 & close 01/3/19
