MPS VOLUNTEERS AFTERNOON TEA
This year, we would like to invite parent volunteers to meet us in the Learning Centre on Tuesday 11 December for a thank you afternoon tea from 3:00-4:00pm.
A note will be distributed shortly for the RSVP so that we can cater for the event.
It is our opportunity to say thanks for the wonderful support given to the school throughout the year. If you are not able to attend, we would like to say thank you for the time you take to get involved in your child’s school life and education. We all know we can’t run canteen, SAKG, excursions, reading programs, library and fundraising without your support.
PREP TRANSITION
Our Prep orientation sessions were most successful and we are looking forward to welcoming our new students next year.
A parent information session for 2019 Prep parents will be held next Monday evening at 7pm in the hall.
STAFFING 2019
We have not yet finalised all of our staffing for 2019, but we do already have some new staff whom we welcome to MPS and we also have some staff who will be on leave in 2019.
Mrs Kathryn Parker and Ms Gabby Grant will both be on family leave in 2019 and Mrs Jess Maya will return in a full time capacity. Mrs Gabbi Menche and Mrs Rhianna Robson will both return from leave and work together in a job share arrangement. Mrs Dominique Monotti will also return in a part time capacity to work alongside our literacy specialist, Mrs Angela Houghton.
Mr Damian Cripps, Miss Samantha Pyatigorsky and Mrs Karolina Zebrowski will all remain on leave in 2019.
New teaching appointments so far include Mr Ricardo Damiano, Miss Stephanie O’Dea and Mr Joshua Woollan.
Mr Woollan has already been placed in Prep for 2019 and will work with Miss Laskey, Miss Woodbridge and Mrs Tarrant.
Mr Damiano will be our new numeracy specialist and Miss O’Dea will be a classroom teacher.
Final staffing will be completed in the next two weeks.
Further information about class structures and teachers will be communicated in a later newsletter.
