HEALTHY HABIT – PEACEFULNESS

The Healthy Habit for weeks 9 and 10 is PEACEFULNESS.

Peacefulness is an inner sense of calm. It comes especially in quiet moments of reflection or gratitude. It is getting very quiet and looking at things so you can understand them. Peacefulness is a way of approaching conflict with others so that no one is made wrong.

National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence

Bullying is an ongoing and deliberate misuse of power in relationships through repeated verbal, physical and/or social behaviour that intends to cause physical, social and/or psychological harm.

The National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence is an important day in our school calendar to join with other schools across Australia to say ‘Bullying. No Way!’

This year the National day of Action against Bullying is on Friday 19th March. At our school on this day, students will be participating in discussions and activities about Bullying: What it is, what they can do if they are being bullied, what to do if they are a bystander. Have a discussion with your kids about what they did in their class on this day. For more information go to www.bullyingnoway.gov.au
