Principal News

Dear Parents and Guardians

It is with much happiness that I can inform you that school will resume for all our students tomorrow, Thursday 18th February, after the Premier's announcement earlier today. All protocols and procedures that effect the day to day running of our school will be put in place again as of tomorrow. I ask that all parents and guardians ensure they are wearing a face mask if they are entering the school building, and that you continue to exercise appropriate distancing between other parents and guardians in the school yard.

We have decided to postpone tomorrow's scheduled parent/teacher interviews until later in the term. As a result, our students will have a full day at school and will be dismissed at 3.20pm as normal. It has been decided by our staff that we want to ensure the continued safety of our school community, and having more than hundred adults coming into the school building would not be appropriate after this very recent Covid outbreak. As soon as the new date is set you will be informed.

I ask that parents and guardians of our Year Six students be aware that orders for the Graduation Tops will now be accepted until next Monday 22nd February.

At this stage it appears that our Year Five/Six camp will still go ahead next Monday and the Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated Sunday week. I will confirm these two events in tomorrow's newsletter after I receive the relevant information from Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) this evening.

Again I would like to thank you all for the way you adhered to the lockdown procedures and worked with our school over these past three days.

Please stay safe.

Regards

Mark Tierney
