Gibson Drought Angels Fundraiser Day

On Friday 9 June, please wear your best farmer gear (ie. jeans, flannelette shirt, hat etc.) to support Gibson’s fundraising efforts for Drought Angels. This organisation provides direct and timely financial assistance, essential resources and meaningful relief for primary producers across Australia. In addition to ongoing support for victims of drought and flooding, in 2023, the focus for Drought Angels is to assist farming communities to improve mental health and wellbeing.

Please bring a gold coin donation which will be collected by Gibson House Captains during Pastoral Care class in the morning.

Henderson, Radcliffe and Youngman House Chapel

If your children are in Henderson, Radcliffe or Youngman House, please feel welcome to join us at the House Chapel Service this Sunday from 4:30-5:40pm. Please bring a plate of food to share at the afternoon tea from 4:30-5:00pm. The Chapel service will begin at 5:00pm and conclude at around 5:40pm.

Semester 1 Co-Curricular / Group Photos – Tuesday 13 June

As previously advised, our Semester 1 Co-Curricular Photo Day is occurring in Week 9 on Tuesday 13 June

Parents/Students please check the schedule for photo time and uniform requirements.
Students appearing in photos which requires a specific uniform (i.e. Sports/Music) to be worn, must be in the correct uniform.
Students appearing in photos wearing the Winter Formal Uniform, must be in the correct uniform.
Students not in the correct uniform will be unable to be in their photo.

An email has been sent to parents who are past Collegians requesting their child’s/children’s attendance for The Clayfield Family photo, please refer to this communication. If you have not received an email and believe you should have, please contact Mrs Sarah Wyer 3262 0412 or swyer@clayfield.qld.edu.au.

Co-curricular/Group Lists will be available in Daily Notices for students in Yrs6-12 to check if needed.

Giving Day - We Shine a Light

Our second Clayfield College Foundation Giving Day will be held on Wednesday 14 June 2023. More information will be shared closer to the date, with a return of the House Competitions for Spirit and Fundraising.

If you would like to be involved as a Matching Donor or as a Volunteer to help us in the Giving Hub on the day, we invite you to contact our Foundation Manager Meg Graham directly at mgraham@clayfield.qld.edu.au or phone 07 3262 0292.

This exciting event will raise funds for the Scholarship and Building Funds, continuing the immediate work of the redevelopment of the College Campus as well as supporting those students who would not otherwise benefit from a Clayfield College education.

MMG Survey

Following last year’s survey of the whole school community and as part of the College’s continuous improvement process, this year parents and students in Years 6, 9 & 12 have been asked to provide us with feedback relating to their views of the College across a wide range of areas.

This research is being conducted by MMG Education, a specialist education consultancy that works with schools in the areas of school strategic reviews and stakeholder satisfaction. Years 6, 9 and 12 students completed the survey at school last week. Parents of these students have been sent an email directly from MMG Education with a link to the survey and we would kindly ask parents to please complete the survey by this Friday 2 June.
