Jules Hannaford

Wellbeing Leader

My name is Jules Hannaford and it is my great pleasure to introduce myself as the new Wellbeing Leader for Aberfoyle Park High School. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with such a talented group of teachers and look forward to connecting with the students, families and members of the Aberfoyle Park High School community.

I bring with me a passion for wellbeing and a deep commitment to supporting the mental health and wellness needs of young people. I have dedicated my career to working in schools to promote emotional resilience, stress management, and positive mental health.

I recently returned from teaching in a world class international school in Hong Kong for 22 years and have been teaching and leading back in Adelaide for the past year. Thus, I am well-versed in the academic, social and emotional issues students face as they navigate school life and I hope to support the Aberfoyle Park High School students, families and staff in this arena by fostering a healthy and positive school environment.

As your Wellbeing Leader, I am committed to creating a safe and inclusive space where all students feel seen, heard and supported. I will work tirelessly to provide resources and support to students who may be struggling with their wellbeing or have mental health concerns. I aim to promote the importance of self-care and emotional wellbeing and continue to build a culture at school that prioritises wellbeing.

I am excited to be a part of this community and to work together to create a brighter future for all our students. I encourage students, families and staff to reach out to me with any questions or concerns, and I look forward to getting to know you all.
