Hype For City Experience

I am beyond excited for next week's City Experience! It's our chance to venture out into the incredible city of Melbourne and explore everything it has to offer. From immersing ourselves in the rich culture and history of Melbourne to delving into the pressing issues our city faces, this experience is all about broadening our horizons and thinking about the bigger picture. Not only will we get to visit iconic locations like Melbourne Central, the MCG, Shrine of Remembrance, and the State Library, but we'll also develop essential skills like communication, leadership, independence, and responsibility. And let's not forget the fun activities like exploring graffiti and visiting the Eureka Skydeck and Old Melbourne Gaol! We've spent the past few weeks preparing for this, and after the week, we'll have the chance to present what we've learned on a topic of our choice. I can't wait to embark on this incredible journey and make lasting memories with my classmates!

Basketball Competition

The Year 9’s recently held a basketball competition which was organised by the captains and our wonderful year level leaders. It ran a weeklong from the 8th of May – 12th of May, followed by an Exhibition Match, Teachers V Students. It was a great way for the Year Level to involved themselves some way or another in the community, while also making new connections with other students and staff members.

In addition to that, they stepped out of their comfort zone. The Year 9’s did an amazing job displaying our Year 9 motto “Strong connections and high achievements”. We can’t wait to see all the great memories and achievements we will venture onto for the rest of the year.

The winning team Big Ballerz featured Toby Kosterlitz, Jett Vozzo, Hunter Duke, Jake Brebner and Ryder Cosgrave. They were supported in the Grand Final by subs Fletcher Le Fevre and Jack Armstrong.

Leadership Camp

My time at the Snowy River school for student leadership has boosted my leadership in many ways. I have grown in my public speaking confidence, and I have gained more experience in running community events. My new grown skills are going to help plan more things for the school community. It was an amazing experience, and I am excited to share my newfound skills to improve the school community.
