Responsible Pet Visit

Written by  Students from Aleph and ABC

On Monday (May 22nd), ABCs and Aleph all gathered in the hall for a special visit. We met Liz and her dog Echo - she was an Italian greyhound and very shy.

We saw Victoria the Cat and Victor the Dog.

They helped us learn how to safely pet a dog, and how to stay calm if there is an angry dog.

"I enjoyed learning about dogs, just got a new dog." - Anthony, ABCs

"The visit was pretty good! I liked the dog's face." - Benjamin, ABCs

Mrs Williams shared: "The program helped facilitate their understanding about dog behaviours. The children were an excellent audience and were able to demonstrate their understanding with the cute, little whippet called Echo. Afterwards, we followed up activities in the classroom and the children received pamphlets to take home and discuss with their families."

Some people were lucky to pet Echo. This is what they said:

"I liked the dog's tail curved inside and the look of the dog's eyes." - Mikaelyn, ABCs"I like patting the dog at the end." - Hosea, ABCs
