Term 2

ANZAC Day

On the 25th of April, Arthur Ford came to our school to celebrate ANZAC day. It was his 20th time coming to our school to mark this special event, and sadly, his last. We are very grateful for his time and effort every year, for so long. He has taught us so much about his experience in war, and we will miss him very much next year. We hope that all the students have learned a lot from Arthur to take into their lives. Thank you, Arthur, for everything you have done for us at WPPS.

Gelantipy Camp

Over the last two weeks at Wonga Park Primary School, the Grade 5/6s went to camp at Gelantipy. We had a fantastic time doing activities such as: rafting, abseiling, horse riding, and a super cool zipline!

Teddy Bears' Picnic

The Grade 6 and Prep students also had their incredible Teddy Bears' Picnic, that we all enjoyed very much. The Prep parents worked very hard to make food for us all to enjoy at the picnic, which was appreciated so much by the Grade 6s.

Cross Country

We also had our annual Cross County event and Burch (Blue House) won. Congratulations to all the hardworking students who attended this day. Thank you to Mr Holland, Mr Percy and all the parent helpers who made this day incredible!

On Tuesday the 23rd of May, the top ten students from Grades 4 to 6 will be competing in District.

Production

Lately, the Grade 5 and 6 students have been rehearsing for our upcoming production in Term 3. We have been having so much fun and are so grateful that we get to have this experience. We can't wait to see it all come together in the coming months.
