Welcome back to Term 4, what a great start to the term we have had.  All students and teachers have been busy getting back into our teaching and learning curriculum as well as preparing for upcoming events.  We are wishing everyone a fantastic end to the 2019 school year and hope Term 4 is very enjoyable for all.

We have held our first secondary school assembly and it was fantastic to welcome the newly appointed College Principal Mandy O’Mara.

USA Space Camp / STEM Tour 2020

Some of you may be aware that we had 4 students participate in a two week USA Space Camp/STEM tour over the school holidays which had an educational focus on Science, Technology and Maths.  Our students joined students from Ballarat High School for the tour, which included a week at the US Space and Rocket Centre in Huntsville, Alabama, engaging in the Advanced Space Academy Training Program, visiting historical monuments and Smithsonian Museums in Washington and visiting the Kennedy Space Centre, iFly Indoor Skydiving and Universal Studios - Behind the Adventure Tour in Orlando, Florida

We are offering the tour again in 2020 and hope to run it independently during late October. Students must be 14 years of age or over to attend. If we get enough interest will be holding an information night at the College for parents in a few weeks time, to be conducted by an Eduschool Tours representative. We are putting together an iMovie and will be sharing this with Year 7 and 8 students over the next week. If your child is interested and they bring home an Expression of Interest form for the Information Night, please return it by the date specified so we can confirm if the night will be going ahead.
