Peer Support

Year 7 students had their last Peer Support session in term 3.  The last session also marked their 100 days of high school.  The Year 10 Peer Support Leaders celebrated this milestone with the Year 7s and wrapped up the program with a theme of wellbeing and seeking help.

Although the 2022 peer support program has officially wrapped up, the support in our school community will continue.

Looking ahead, we are excited about the recruitment for 2023 Peer Support Leaders, which will take place from Week 1 Term 4.  Our current Year 9 students will have the opportunity to express their interest in becoming peer support leaders for our incoming 2023 Year 7s.  Our 2023 Peer Support Mentors and the Wellbeing social work placement students will provide training to the new Peer Support Leaders later in Term 4 after the interview screening process.

On behalf of 2022 Box Hill High School Peer Support Program team, we would like to thank our 58 Peer Support Leaders who dedicated their time and energy for current Year 7s.   The 2022 Peer Support Leaders played a significant role in supporting post-lockdown high school transition.  We are very proud of what you have achieved this year!
