SRC Update

School Values Team: The School Values Team aims to enact Respect, Resilience, Creativity and Growth into the classroom and social interactions of both students and staff. This term, the SRC has been working alongside Ms Steele to discuss ways in which we can incorporate wellbeing into the classroom more, proposing activities and advice for teachers to use. Our goal is to keep school values in sight throughout the year and to help students and staff learn and grow. We hope to make an impact!

School Podcast Team: The Podcast Team has been up to some interesting things this term! We are ready to record our pilot episode which we hope to release at the start of term four. We are also looking for people to host their own segments in our podcast! For anyone who is interested, please contact the podcast team or Ms Weyenberg and she will give us a heads up.

School Garden Team: The Garden Team has been working hard this term. We have been busy contacting different nurseries and working with staff at Box Hill City Council to choose the best possible plants for our school garden. The council has donated some plants which will be planted soon. We are also in the process of ordering benches and seating for the garden space, which Ms Ind and the Principal Team are helping us with. It is good to see our hard working paying off!

Guest Speaker Simone Thomson: We were honoured to have Indigenous artist Simone Thomson come and speak to us for NAIDOC week. Simone painted our lovely new Indigenous mural earlier this year and it was very special for us to invite her back. We were excited to learn more about her life story and experiences as an artist and Indigenous woman.
