The children in the last few weeks have been stepping up and putting in some incredible effort. We’re looking forward to seeing them continue their positive attitude and learning experiences in the next few weeks of term.
Cross Country
The sun was shining and not a cloud in the sky for our cross country this morning. The children in Year 4 to 6 were giving it there best effort and cheering each other on during the race. Our school came alive with community spirit, and I am proud to see children showcasing our four values of love, service, courage and Endeavour.
Growth Mindset
As I mentioned last week in the newsletter our theme for the first few weeks of this term has been growth mindset. We know that learning can be hard sometimes and it takes effort and commitment to get better. This week classes have been focusing on changing our language to being positive. For example, 'I can’t ride a bike…yet.' Or instead of saying 'I am not good at this' try thinking 'What am I missing?' Changing our mindset works wonders to our outlook in life. Our focus for the next three weeks will be about courage and the High 5. Ask you children if they know what that means. I will give more information about this next week.
Father's Day Raffle Donations
We will be holding a Father's Day Raffle and are looking for donations for the prizes. I f you have anything you would like to donate please drop it in to Reception before Monday 29 August. Please make sure items are new or unused.
Have a great week.
