PLANTING
YR 9 OUTDOOR ED
On Wednesday, Year 9 Outdoor Ed students managed to put 220 plants into the ground near the parent pickup area. The two species were Poa Labillardieri (Common Tussock Grass) and Myoporum Parvifolium Alba (Creeping Boobiallla).
On Thursday the students planted a further 280 plants including Lomandra Longifolia (Spiney Headed Mat-Rush).
In total we planted 500 plants which were generously supplied by Plantmark Wholesale Nursery. The grasses are a great habitat for lizards and slaters bugs (Armadillidiidae). This adds to the other plantings that VCAL students worked on last term.
