Mr French’s Lessons
This week, Principal Rob French dropped into a Year 1 class to share a story about a little boy called Tommy. The main message of his story was that 'a job worth doing is a job worth doing well', highlighting character traits such a persistence and vigilance. Students then challenged Mr French on his career to date!

Year 8 Character Day
Last week, our Year 8 students participated in their Character Day. One of their activities was making treats to sell at lunchtime to raise money for the Cancer Council. Well done everyone, they were delicious!
Year 11 Media excursion to ACMI
Joanne Low, Media and Digital Technologies Teacher
The Year 11 Media class recently went to ACMI to visit the The Story of the Moving Image exhibition and took part in the Creating Cinemographs workshop.
Hugo Della Bosca, Year 11 Media student, had this to share:
The ACMI excursion was fantastic, and is definitely a memorable part of our subject. ACMI offered so much to see and experience.
The Story of the Moving Image exhibit was absolutely fascinating, be it an impressive collection of magic lanterns and flipbook-esque classic moving images, a fully working zoetrope, or an in-depth exploration into the evolution of moving pictures and where we stand today.
The workshop on creating cinemographs was also incredibly enjoyable and had us creating some mind-bending looping images with the assistance of the wonderful presenters.
If you have an interest in media in the slightest, I implore you to go to The Story of the Moving Image exhibition. It is free, and you will definitely not regret it. This was an incredibly enjoyable experience that I would gladly do all over again.
