Behaviour Education at LNPS

WEEK 6 WEDNESDAY - 8th June 2016

6:30pm - 8:00pm TIRKANDI

Behaviour education is about teaching and learning. The ultimate goal is to teach students to regulate their behaviour and support them in learning about the consequences of their behaviour. When students regulate their behaviour and become self-directed, their needs and interests become clearer to them and to others, providing the foundation for a child-centred curriculum.

At Lockleys North Primary School (LNPS) we implement behaviour support strategies which provide a safe and supportive environment where positive behaviour is encouraged so that effective learning and teaching can flourish and the students have every opportunity to participate, to achieve and to be successful.

This term the Parent Education Forum will focus on Behaviour Education at LNPS. This session will explain NEW policies relating to behaviour at LNPS. They include:

LNPS Behaviour Education Policy

LNPS Anti-Bullying and Harassment Policy

LNPS Cyber Safety Policy

During the session we will go through the process of how staff at LNPS respond to behaviours, what strategies are used, and how  behaviour is tracked and monitored. The forum will also cover a brief introduction to Restorative Practices.

Bike Theft

On Monday  a bike was stolen from the bike racks. The bike is red with a yellow stripe and was a Fluid Brand – Fluid 15 Shred with 26” wheels and a small frame.

If you have any information related to the theft, could you please contact the school. A report has been filed with the police.

Students who leave their bicycles at school are asked to ensure that they use a chain and lock them as a security measure.

The bike racks will also be locked each day at 9:00am and opened at 3:00pm.
