Everyday Maths Hub

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

The NSW Department of Education has officially launched the 'Everyday Maths Hub'. This resource is designed to help parents support the maths development of their children at home with a wide range of practical and fun activities.

The link below gives you access the hub:

https://education.nsw.gov.au/campaigns/mathematics/domain

This great resource can help parents and carers engage their children in mathematics through fun, relatable activities.

The Everyday Maths Hub is an engaging website for parents and carers of children in Kindy through to Year 10. It aims to support and encourage family conversations about the relevance and usefulness of mathematics in everyday life

The Everyday Maths Hub was designed in consultation with parents and carers. It supports them to empower their children to think critically and creatively, find and solve problems, and notice and wonder about the mathematics in the world around them.

The Everyday Maths Hub features short creative videos, interactive everyday activities, maths games and puzzles.

It is easier for children to understand maths when they relate it to something real and see it as part of their everyday life. The Everyday Maths Hub is designed to support parents and carers to bring mathematics into their home, the outdoors and anywhere else their children learn and play.
