Principal's Report

by David Lord

I would like to again congratulate all students on the way they have returned to school this term. Our Year 12 VCAL students have worked hard to complete their requirements and our Year 12 VCE students have shown a resilient and positive attitude to undertaking their exams. Year 7-11 students have also made a positive start. We have worked hard to re-establish the positive relationships and routines that are important for wellbeing and learning. We are continuing to focus on the importance of completing learning interactions in the week they are set.

An important part of the successful return has been the work of our parents and carers. I would again like to thank you for the way that you have supported our whole school community this year.  The recent Parent Teacher Student Conferences (PTSC) conducted on Zoom were a great example of this. They were well attended and largely ran smoothly. In the future we will resume face to face PTSC when we are allowed to. We are also investigating maintaining some online component as a number of parents found this logistically easier.

We, at Staughton College, would like to show our respect and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which our school is situated, of elders past and present. We extend a warm welcome to everyone who visits our school.
