Reconciliation Ceremony 2001

This week we celebrate NAIDOC Week 2020.

In 2001, Mazenod College held a historic Reconciliation Ceremony to acknowledge the original custodians of the land, the Wurundjeri people and to encourage students to learn more about Indigenous culture. The event was initiated by the Mazenod College Social Justice Committee and included a traditional smoking ceremony in which everyone was invited to walk past the fire in an act of purification.
