End-of-Year Presentations

To comply with the current COVID-19 guidelines, we will be holding the following adjusted events for 2020:

  • Celebration Assemblies - There will be four separate award presentations held on Monday 7 December (Kindergarten - Year 2; Years 3 - 6; Secondary and a Years 1-12 Special Awards Assembly). Attendance at these presentations will be by invitation only. Attendees will consist of students receiving awards and up two of their family members.
  • Year 6 Graduation - We will be holding a Year 6 Graduation on Tuesday 8 December at 1.30pm. All Year 6 and a selection of Year 5 students will attend. We will also be inviting two adults per Year 6 family to attend.
  • Thanksgiving Evening - A virtual Thanksgiving Evening will be premiered on Facebook at the usual Thanksgiving time (Wednesday 9 December at 6pm). We would like to encourage all families to watch this presentation at this time. However, you will also be able to watch it at a later time if that is more convenient for your family. We will miss coming together as an NCS community this year but we trust that this ‘virtual’ event will still be entertaining, informative and designed to appropriately celebrate God’s goodness to our school during what has been a very challenging year.

You will receive further details regarding all these events in the near future and you will be notified before 3 December if your child is receiving an award at one of the Celebration Assemblies.

100 Merits

A reminder to students who have 100 Merits. This coming Wednesday 25 November is the last opportunity to bring in your 10 large merits to the front office. Thank you.

Worrigee Community Christmas Carols 2020 cancelled

It is with sadness that we have decided to cancel our annual Worrigee Community Carols this year, due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19. We will sorely miss coming together to celebrate and enjoy this time. In a year that has brought much hardship for our region, we pray that our school families and the families in our community will experience the true hope that this Christmas season offers. This hope is found in the Saviour of the World, Jesus Christ. Jesus offers true life, peace, hope, forgiveness and salvation.  He is the reason for the season.

We can hopefully all look forward to joining together for our community carols in 2021, assuming COVID-19 restrictions would have eased by then.

COVID-19 Test Register Form

It is important that we continue to be vigilant in ensuring that staff and students do not attend school or work if they are unwell.  Please note the following:

  • Students absent or sent home due to flu-like symptoms need to be tested for COVID-19.
  • Staff and students must not return to school or work until they receive a negative COVID-19 result and are symptom-free.
  • Staff and students who have had a COVID-19 test must complete the COVID-19 Test Register before returning to school. This form will require you to upload a screenshot of the test results.
  • If the student or staff member is still displaying ongoing symptoms that are typical of a condition such as seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever), they can provide a medical certificate from their GP to continue to attend school.
